Smart systems for better health

50% of Australians live with at least one chronic disease, with $200 billion in estimated Australian annual healthcare expenditure. Global Health Limited (ASX:GLH) is a leading provider of digital health solutions to the Australasian healthcare industry, with innovation, consumer-centricity, and connectivity at the foundation of the company’s vision of ‘connecting clinicians and consumers’.

Used by over 10,000 healthcare providers, Global Health’s services are deployed in over 1,000 healthcare organisations, supporting in excess of 1.5 million people. The company’s solutions include electronic medical records, patient administration systems, practice management systems, clinical records, secure connectivity, patient engagement platforms, and consumer health records. These solutions are enhanced by a range of relationship and engagement tools that support healthcare providers to actively engage with their patients, build communities of common interest, share information through forums and chat groups, discuss prescribed treatment plans, and empower patients to support themselves and each other.

Their portfolio of SaaS (Software as a Service) and software applications help healthcare organisations streamline the delivery of their services to people living with chronic conditions such as mental health illness, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease to provide better health outcomes. The software is designed to support healthcare services delivered anywhere, but particularly healthcare delivered in the community and in the home, with the goal of avoiding or delaying the deterioration of an individual’s health condition.

Global Health’s range of SaaS for healthcare providers includes ReferralNet and Mastercare, allowing for the confidentiality of clinical information, digital certificate and encryption, and secure clinical document depository client management records. For consumers, their health records are available anytime for active engagement with their care teams. Lifecard is the company’s personal health record app, allowing consumers to take full control of their healthcare. HotHealth is a patient engagement platform, allowing consumers to book appointments online, conduct telehealth appointments through secure video conferencing, and share news and files with various healthcare providers.

Global Health’s leadership has recently been strengthened with the appointment of Michael Davies as the new Chief Executive Officer (due to begin July 1st). Michael brings over 20 years of experience across leading organisations including Telstra, Optus, and most recently as Head of Revenue at Macquarie Telecom. Michael has been appointed to focus on revenue growth while delivering exceptional customer engagement and raising the company’s profile with enterprise buyers across the healthcare sector. Current Managing Director and CEO, Mathew Cherian, will remain in a new role as Executive Director to lead Global Health’s strategic focus and expansion into new markets.
